A very good friend and very talented artist asked: Why can't people appreciate creativity? What is with this burning need to BASH down art and artists, to smash anything that isn't the norm... and then to bitch that there is nothing unique in art anymore?
I answer:
because... the masses rise and claim the dreamers, consume and assimilate the actors, the empty souls drink the souls and blood and bone of the blessed, and clamor for more, ever more. the minds are empty and filled with the void, they contain nothing and can know nothing, but the drugs of destruction. they consume, they eat, they murder their gods, eat their saviours, slice up and covet their very bones.
We are the food of the very gods, did you not know, did you not understand that acension is consumption, that becoming one with your god is to be eaten?
Such are the masses, for are they not made in the image of their god? do they not eat everything, even their very mother? rape her, degrade her, poison her, rip and cut and pour toxins in the wounds?
You give the masses too much credit. you give them the aspect of the divine that you wear in your own art, talent and madness. They are blank and empty mirrors that can only reflect in their own distorted windows, the shattered madness that is man.
