The Zen of Photology - is it possible to be naturally photogic, for photoness to simply happen.. perhaps.. though preparation of the body, the soul and the camera are key to your journey. Go for a walk, take your camera, go for a hike, camera at the ready. Take a stroll downtown.. definately grab the camera.. Set up your camera, take a shower.. arrange a few candles, set the timer on your camera do a little nude meditations..

Simply be open to the photoness, let the journey to the image flow through you and into your camera.

Rainbows and computer chips... I have been keeping the windows kind of covered what with the bit of chill, but I opened my main window in the kitchen today and all the cut crystals I have hanging in the window exploded the house with rainbows... {grin} Instant mood lift.

I opened up the Gateway computer that Thea and Chuck gave me for working on Elvie's machine and added some memory chips I had spare... Wow... neat little machine.. I am impressed.. and it makes a great DVD player... now I will maybe get to watch those DVD's I have, not many, but a couple of good ones... and it is half again faster than the older machine I have been working with so that is even better.. {Yay}

Now if I can just get my hands on a Cable Router... My birthday is this month if anyone wants to contribute... hehe...

AND... thanks to a friend, and an early birthday present.. I now have a DA Print Account, which means.. you can now buy some of my prints, in various formats, in real, silver process photographic prints.. That should be pretty darned archival.. I cannot sign them for you.. though I will if you pay to mail them both ways once you get them.. {big smile} I am adding a link to my print account in the side bar.. and here too

I get the most interesting comments on my work sometimes... :)

comment in my Elf Wood gallery from {Deadly Nightshade}
Your art is really beautiful, but it's so close to being p0rn it scares me. Naked figures don't make the best art in my opinion. Try a dragon someday, instead of photo manipulation. They're very beautiful creatures and are fun to draw. Please do not take me wrongly! I think you are a MASTER of photoshop and I wish I had your skills (and the program, heh...costs too much for me to afford) but I am just not the biggest fan of nude art. I love the fearies, however. Simply incredible. Keep up the good work - I love your ceurlean angel. The wings are magnificent. But never stop doing fearies! Ever! They look cool in clothes too. I'm not telling you to stop - I truly love your art, it's wonderful. Please take this whole thing as a compliment, not someone who's trying to push a new way of art on you. I really think you could do other fantasy creatures if you tried - like a unicorn. I know where you can get awesome pictures of horses if photo manipulation is your style. I can just imagine the wodners you could work with mythical animals ^_^

You're truly incredible. I'm surprised you haven't gotten moderators choice yet. If you have I missed it, sorry lol ><

Comment From The Artist: Ummm :) your opinon of what is art must be sadly lacking in the classical arts.. :) and I am not picking on you.. the nude figure is the oldest and most respected of all the art forms in the world. so, your opinon of the role of the nude in art is noted, but is very very parochial and narrow... {chuckle} perhaps a visit to any of the classical collecions of any of the great museums would broaden your view point... and let me be very very clear.. I am not in the least upset or angry. I am a little sorry for you.. as you are obviously being cheated of the open and honest enjoyment of the real world, where nudity is just life. Every person I would hope takes a bath, has sex, relationships, physical and emotional love, all the things Creator placed in us. I am not ashamed of what Creator gave us.. I am saddened that you are. Dragons.. ummm not much for self portraits.. {chuckle}, I am by no means a master of PS.. though I continue to study and work and try to learn its ins and outs, as long as it does not interfer with my works. You can get PS as a student fairly cheaply and there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting an older version. I have seen Ver 5 for instance for $30 in some surplus places. And as for affording it, well, it is just a tool like any tool and I make what sacrifices I must in order to have the tools I need. Curious, would you put clothing on a bird, or a dragonfly? How about a dress on a butterfly.. do you thing it makes sense in the natural world to put weight, drag and the danger of entanglement on a flying creature.. do you thing gowns are particularly aerodynamic? {grin} I don't really thing so... and I accept your compliment as given.. :) Actually I recieved Mod choice on my very first set of submissions... forget which one.. I think it was the Muse and the Mischief. I may, wander in to some other areas.. in my own time and in my own way.. but right now.. you are looking at the expression not of just me, but of a community.. many of the folk you see in my gallery are fellow artists here in ElfWood and in ElfTown.. You like the Cerulean Angel. Are you going to tell Charity {Cerulean} that she should put her clothes on? {grin} you might get an argument... these folk are not "models", they are fellow artists and performers that do this because they want to. because they, believe the nude human form, even theirs, is beautiful, empowering, and more importantly, Sacred. Thank you soo much for you comment.. and your compliments.. I certainly am planning to continue my work.. there are over 200 works in my Deviant gallery already... and my own blessings to your own journey... take care and walk in beauty and in joy... I certainly do.

ah, but that is the true secret you see, the unseen is all around use, and it is hidden in the most ordinary things.. for it is not, that they are ordinary, but that we have lost the wonder of the childlike sight we are given as we enter this realm, and lose, or have taken from our eyes as we dance the illusionary dance of the Mandream, our eyes are not cleared, but become clouded with the glare and the lies of the nightmare of man's perversions of the world.

{confusion} you are, what you are.. and your nude series is brilliant, if less of a fully realized image than I would consider appropriate.. :) a dance is only realized with the entire body of the dancer.... expressing to the night, to the sun, to the sky, the language, the story, the fires within the dancer... if we cannot see, the dance continues,, but it only is, it does not speak....
Speak to me... communicate with me... place images in my mind, through my eye, touch my soul, touch my heart, speak to me in light and shadow, in flesh and skin and swirling passions...

as I warned.. {grin} random flashes and snippets..

on the other hand.. the Autumnal Equinox Gallery is open and thanks to many friends is running quite nicely... you can find it at the link.. do go and visit if you have the time.

Dancing on the autumn winds, falling the leaves become the fairy magic, touching my senses with unseen wings, stirring my soul to the softening of the world, as it prepares to sleep the long night of winter.

nudes... hmmmm chuckle.. such discussions I get into... quotes from my Deviant Gallery comments

gymsox
ok so i just journeyed through your entire gallery and i must say that you are very talented...but i'm not such a fan of ALL the nudity. there's nothing wrong with it...you just have so much.
but yeah anyway aside from that some of your pieces are reallly amazing!!

Me -
thank you.. and I appreciate your view of nudes. In my world nudity is as natural and as unremarkable as is your having toast for breakfast. It simply is not an issue. Nearly all of the winged ones are nude simply because I see no reason to impose illogical human illusion on a natural winged creature, which, in real nature would never put weight and aerodynamic drag on their bodies....

Many, even most of the people that work with me are not models, they are fellow artists, performers, theater, arts and music students, musicians, and dancers. Organic, back to the land folk and people that are of native or earth based cultural heritages. And many of the women are on healing journeys of their own to reclaim and empower their own self image and their own female spirits.
really appreciate you taking the time to browse my gallery.. and do come again.. I do not do 'all' nudes... chuckle..

gymsox
i think your concept of nudity is exactly the kind of thinking that makes nudity okay.
i am skeptical of many artists here though b/c many care only for the feedback and completely overlook the artistic aspect.

anyway you mentioned your winged nudes and i forgot to say before that i really like those. that group was definitely my favorite thing in your gallery...great composition and such.

As a young, yet wise artist has said... and I quote

"Being sad doesn’t make you special. Being miserable doesn't make you special. Being suicidal doesn’t make you special.

Contributing something productive does."

sometimes the spirit flows in words and prose.. sometimes in imagery and light, and sometimes in shadows and the dark of night.

I seem to be in a new zone... so there may be some rather intense and graphic verse arriving.....

intense is your journey... I watch, I learn, I delve deeper into you.. I open your mouth and breath your voice, I spread your legs and warm my toes at your sex, I split your belly and birth myself.
