Listening to Prairie Home Companion webcast, reading the blogs of a few friends, and thinking.. Dangerous when I get to thinking. Things are very very tight, and I may have to drop my websites, too much to support from my income. I wonder if I can keep my domains parked or something, have to look into that I suppose. But I have been able to paint a set of new PhoDigital paintings.

Wizard of the Fairy Souls - available as a print from my Prints Shoppe
In response to a challenge laid down by my very close friend and fellow artist, Jessica Douglas, to, in her words,
"Show me what you're made of. Get off your asses and wow YOURSELVES. I dont mean go and agonise over a drawing until you hate it. I mean get up and draw from your hearts. Draw what you FEEL. You all have emotions, thoughts, dreams, loves, hates. SHOW ME.
I've said it time and time again, I cannot say it enough. you all are some of the finest artists out there....... and there is far more depth to your souls than you let on. So take up those tools of the trade, strip yourself of all these silly fears and self doubts.......... and show me what you are made of."
So here is what I do. I take the souls and the spirits of my friends, collaborators, models and fellow artists and from that energy and spirit, I craft the magick of my art. In many senses it is a self portrait and certainly it looks into my own soul very deeply. The marvelous lass is Sofi Cross, a wonderful friend and UK artist.

Rain.. lots of rain and some freezing.. but, shrug,, water is good. I rather like thrift shops. You can find really good things really cheap, and I snagged a really quite decent sewing machine for little moneys.. something I think I can put to use to do things I can use around here, and also do some art work that should sell well, I hope.. :)
Window Quilts are always a really good thing for helping with the energy costs and warming up the house. And certainly a bit of quilting is good for many things.. :)

The beautiful Tika, gifted to me by Stephinie before she died this past Jan. A wonderful spirit and a gift beyond blessings.

Deep in waters beyond our minds, the soul flounders seeking release, but clings to the fibers of memory.
Swim for all your life, the worth of your journey in the hearts of your own destiny.
