Inspiration.. from where does it come..

well. With me it comes from many places, but especially from my friends and loves, my fellow artists and my models... an example if you will.. from a dear friend in the UK, and Elf Town, an online community of artists, fantasy enthusiasts and fans.

{Celticsofi} thankyou dearest. tho i look a tad chubby in my one :S uck, oh well, a bit of chubbiness never hurt any one :)

{Skydancer} nope.. just means you are healty and not a toothpicky... chuckle... my own preferences is for a touch of solidity and voluputiousnessss or however you spell that..

{Celticsofi} ahh yes - i was once stick thin but then puberty struck and now i have curves everywhere! im not huge but i am curvy thats for sure. hehe. yes, i dont like diets - they're a stupid idea. if you were ment to be a big person then you should accept it (ofcourse in some cases dieting is essential) my friend at work is a very thin person, shes only small, and she is on a diet! i ask her why and she thinks shes fat. so i asked her if she thought she was fat, waht does it make me? i think she has stopped the diet now, hehe

{Skydancer} yay for you... I think the goddess is definatly not a stick. but a full lush rose, a great tree that spreads her limbs across the skie.....hmmmmm I just had an inspiration... a multi armed goddess figure in a tree form with arms and hands for branches, each hand holding a fruit, an animal, a thing of the earth... hmmmm scribbles notes.... hmmmmm May I quote you in my Blog?

{Celticsofi} yeah sure thing, i dont mind the quote. yes that sounds good - mother nature will it be? or a goddess of nature? does sound like a very good idea. my friend made a tree which had all sorts coming out of it from nature - it was so beautiful. it was a tree and it had a crack in it and spilling out were lots of animals, and there were some on the braches and lots of fruit on it. it took her ages as it was made out of clay, but it was worth it.

{Skydancer} Well, I am thinking of THE Goddess, of the planetary intelligence that IS Gaia... so there will be the biosphere, but also the lithasphere and the hydrosphere represented...

In our sketchbooks are the recordings of our innersouls, stripped of all masks, baring the essential spirit of our art.

.. the visions crowding my head... my poor mind... are what force me to be an artist.. capturing them on film or paper is what keeps me sane

I have a vision way in the back of my mind of a jelly mer... where the human nude is transparently in the center of the jelly form so it is as if a ghost of a soul in a rainbow of light an transparency in the sea....

In an attempt to offer understanding of my work as an artist, I am posting this explanation to a beautiful lass in the UK I am doing a series of fairy and goddess images of for the Autumnal Equinox.

"in all seriousness, the fairy work and much of the art that I do, is directly inspired by, and driven by, the work of the greatest artist of all, Mother Gaia. Your personality, your spirit, your body, are all, in my eyes part of a beautiful work, and because you are particularly to my own esthetic taste, I find you particularly beautiful and desirable. Which fuels my artistic passion and that in turn is where the fairy images actually come from. I have a great deal of difficulty working with some one that does not strike me or excite me. One of the reasons I could never use a program like poser is that there is no life, no essence there. I need the fires of the goddess within you to spark my own work. I have thousands of images, and I could, sort through and work with them for years to come. But.. I do my best work, and I approach genious, only when I am working with a living soul, and one that inspires and arouses and excites me, creatively, and as a person. I rather believe that this same passion is what has driven the great artists through all time, and my small talent is is equally fueled by such need."

It is, what I promised, and what I feel, a connection in the weave of lives that will bring forth new wonders and stars of joy and pain, to illuminate the journeys of others.
